Birth & Education
Born in the late autumn of 1850. Studied under Iliya Blaskov, Dobri Voynikov and Todor Ikonomov. Home to the Panayot Volov House-Museum at 16 Tsar Osvoboditel Street, his bust monument, and the stadium bearing his name.

Education
1869–1873. Lived at the South Slavic Boarding School and attended the Alexander Gymnasium. Left six months before graduation due to illness.

Revolutionary Activity
November 11, 1875. Co-founded the Giurgiu Revolutionary Committee. Elected chief apostle of the IV District.

April 1876. Center of the IV Revolutionary District. Site of the Oborishte Assembly and formation of the rebel band.

April Uprising
April 23–26, 1876. Volov deployed the cherry cannon and led military operations. The town was burned by Ottoman forces.
Byala, Ruse Province
Death
26 May (7 June) 1876. Volov perished in the Yantra River near the Belenska Bridge. A monument stands there today.

Volov's remains rest in the Pantheon of the National Revival Heroes – one of Bulgaria's most sacred places of memory.
