Panayot Volov (c. 1850–1876) was a Bulgarian revolutionary who organized uprisings against the Ottoman Empire. Following a failed uprising in 1875, he was an organizer of the Gyurgevo Revolutionary Committee that initiated the Bulgarian April Uprising in 1876. Also unsuccessful, it did lead to re-establishment of Bulgaria as a separate country in 1878. Ref: WGSBN Bull. 1, #10, 8
